Privacy notice

This notice describes how Christmas Gift Finder handles information when you create an account, plan gifts, or buy prepaid searches.

Your account

When you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides basic account information, such as your name, email address, and profile image. We use it to create and recognize your account. We do not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail, contacts, or Google Drive.

Gift ideas by email

If you submit the newsletter form and check its consent box, we store your email, subscription status, consent wording and date, and an unsubscribe identifier. Signing in with Google does not subscribe you. The owner may export active subscribers to send gift ideas and offers through an email service. Every campaign must include your personal unsubscribe link. Unsubscribed records are retained to prevent further mailings. We do not sell the subscriber list. A hashed, short-lived technical identifier limits form abuse.

Your gift plans

We store the recipient details you enter, including a name or nickname, age, optional gender, relationship, interests, and gift budget, along with search results, saved gift ideas, purchase checkmarks, and your prepaid search balance. Please use nicknames where possible and avoid entering sensitive personal information.

AI recommendations

When you request gift ideas, the recipient details needed for that request and previous gift titles may be sent to OpenAI to generate recommendations. Recommendations and prices are estimates. OpenAI handles requests under its own applicable policies. Sample lists are illustrative and do not send a personalized AI request.

Payments

When checkout is enabled and you select a top-up, payment is handled by Robokassa. We keep the invoice amount, purchased search quantity, payment status, account identifier, and transaction timestamps. Card details entered on the provider’s checkout are handled by the payment provider.

Cookies and security

Necessary cookies maintain your signed-in session and protect the Google login process. We may process technical information such as IP address and browser details to manage sessions and limit abuse. Production sessions use protected cookies over HTTPS. Draft recipient details may be kept temporarily in your browser while you sign in. This version does not add advertising trackers.

Service providers and storage

The service uses Google for sign-in, OpenAI for requested recommendations, Vercel for website hosting, Cloudflare-based backend and database services, and Robokassa for enabled payments. These providers may process information in other countries under their respective policies. User records and saved plans are stored in the service database. OAuth access credentials are encrypted in the account database.

Retention and your choices

Account and gift-plan records remain stored to provide your account and support transactions. Sessions normally expire after seven days and may be renewed while you use the service. You can remove saved gifts using the available controls, export your gift list, sign out, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information. Some transaction records may need to be kept to administer payments and resolve disputes.

Children

The service is intended for adult shoppers. A gift recipient may be a child; please avoid entering identifying or sensitive details beyond what is necessary to choose an age-appropriate gift.
